Description
Protocol emulation device capable of driving one serial device using the serial commands from a different device. Allows a host to control new hardware without software upgrades. Example uses include:
- Controlling a filter wheel from an alternate manufacturer.
- Controlling a state device with standard shutter commands.
- Incorporating new hardware into software that is no longer supported or past end-of-life.
